Georgia in the summer is a lush, green, wet, and smothering environment. It is easy to feel oppressed in the wet heat here. I think the invention of the A/C is what helps keep us all mostly stable. The summer also brings colds, kids out of school, vacations and lots of activities.
The summer is supposed to be fun right? I can’t tell you how many people have told me they find summer stressful for one reason or another and we often need a vacation from our vacation. If you find yourself in the ba humbug category, lets talk.
I won’t venture to guess what has brought you to this sad state but I will talk about what I find gets people out of it. You won’t be surprised. Self care is the cure for what ails you. Yes, just good old fashion taking care of your self!
It doesn’t matter how many times I tell people particularly us women “make sure you factor yourself into your plans,” I still hear story after story that did not include taking care of them selves.
If you don’t have a lot of time that is fine, then just take little bits of time here and there like an extra five minutes in the shower or a bath or a short walk, maybe read a little bit of that book you keep wanting to read. Ultimately the better you are at taking care of you as well as everyone else the happier you will be. Sending all you summer suffers a hug, unless you are not a hugger in that case just a smile.
Ok go have a good day,
